NPCC Hosts NIMAREX Executives on Courtesy Visit
The Nigerian Ports Consultative Council recently received executives and stakeholders of the Nigerian Maritime Expo during a courtesy visit aimed at strengthening collaboration and fostering greater unity within Nigeria’s maritime industry.
The meeting, held in Lagos on April 28, 2026, brought together key stakeholders from across the maritime sector, including representatives of shipowners’ associations and industry professionals committed to the advancement of Nigeria’s blue economy and maritime trade ecosystem.

Welcoming the delegation on behalf of the Council, the Vice Chairperson of NPCC, Mrs. Jean Chiazor-Anishere, SAN, expressed appreciation to the NIMAREX executives for the visit and commended their continued efforts toward promoting dialogue and cooperation among maritime stakeholders.
During the engagement, discussions centered on the importance of industry cohesion, stakeholder inclusion, and the need to sustain platforms that encourage maritime development, investment promotion, and international participation in Nigeria’s maritime sector.
The visiting delegation highlighted ongoing efforts to reposition NIMAREX as a broader collaborative platform capable of bringing together diverse maritime interests for the collective growth of the industry.
