NPCC Reaffirms Commitment to Port Reforms at LCCI Stakeholders’ Forum on Port Efficiency

The Nigerian Ports Consultative Council (NPCC) participated in the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) Stakeholders’ Forum on Port Efficiency, held on Wednesday, April 9, 2025. The forum focused on critical issues surrounding port charges, infrastructure, and regulatory frameworks, attracting key voices from the maritime, logistics, and trade sectors.

At the request of the organizers, the NPCC Chairman was invited to deliver a goodwill message and submit a position paper on behalf of the Council. Representing the Chairman, the Vice Chairperson of the NPCC, Mrs. Jean Chiazor Anishere, SAN, addressed the audience with a message that reiterated the Council’s unwavering commitment to collaborative port reforms aimed at enhancing efficiency, transparency, and competitiveness across Nigeria’s port ecosystem.

The goodwill message, delivered at the forum, emphasized the importance of multi-stakeholder collaboration, infrastructure investment, and regulatory cohesion in resolving the longstanding challenges facing port users and operators.

A formal position paper was also submitted by the Council, outlining actionable recommendations to support policy alignment and operational improvements across Nigeria’s seaports.
