NPCC Congratulates Vice Chairperson, Jean Chiazor Anishere, SAN, on Her Recognition as FOMI Model Ambassador 2025

The Nigerian Ports Consultative Council (NPCC) extends heartfelt congratulations to its Vice Chairperson, Chief Jean Chiazor Anishere, SAN, on her recognition as the FOMI 2025 Model Ambassador Honouree, conferred by the Girls Go-To-Sea Campaign Initiative through the Face of Maritime International (FOMI).

This honour, presented during the FOMI 2025 Women Empowerment Programme and 10th Anniversary Celebration held on Friday, 3rd October 2025, at Villa Angelia Hotel, Ikoyi, Lagos, celebrates Chief Anishere’s outstanding contributions to maritime law and leadership development within Nigeria’s maritime and blue economy sector.

Chief Anishere, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and renowned maritime lawyer, has been a consistent voice for inclusivity, professionalism, and capacity building in the maritime industry. Her recognition as FOMI Model Ambassador 2025 underscores her decades of impactful service, mentorship of young professionals, and her commitment to inclusivity in core maritime fields — in line with the ideals of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

As Vice Chairperson of the NPCC, Chief Anishere continues to bring her wealth of legal and policy expertise to the Council’s mission of fostering dialogue, regulatory coherence, and stakeholder collaboration across Nigeria’s ports and maritime governance system.
