NPCC Rewards Excellence in Style and Professionalism
Today, September 4, 2025, the Nigerian Ports Consultative Council (NPCC) once again demonstrated its commitment to motivating and celebrating its workforce by recognizing excellence in an inspiring way.
In a brief yet memorable ceremony at the NPCC Secretariat, the Council’s leadership—Chairman Mr. Bolaji Sunmola and Vice Chairperson Chief Mrs. Jean Chiazor Anishere, SAN—presented a special award to a staff member, Mr. Akinsola Ayodeji Peter, who emerged as the best-dressed staff member for the (June-August) quarter. The award, a cheque of ₦25,000, was personally handed over by the Vice Chairperson, who commended the recipient for not only projecting elegance but also reflecting the council’s values of discipline, dignity, and professionalism.

Chairman Sunmola, in his remarks, emphasized that appearance in the workplace is more than fashion—it is an expression of self-respect and the corporate image of the Council. He went further to challenge all staff to embrace excellence as a lifestyle, promising an additional reward for any staff who consistently win the award for three consecutive quarters.
This initiative, now becoming a cherished tradition within NPCC, does more than recognize neatness and style. It reinforces the Council’s belief that motivation can be found in both big and small acts of recognition and that every effort—from intellectual contributions to personal presentation—matters in building a workplace of excellence.

The award has sparked renewed excitement among staff, many of whom see it as a reminder that professionalism begins with how one presents oneself daily. Beyond the financial incentive, the recognition sends a strong message that NPCC is intentional about nurturing a positive, vibrant, and value-driven work culture.
At NPCC, excellence is not just rewarded—it is celebrated.
